5 Ways To Bounce Back From The Slump

To anyone who has ever woken up from a nap feeling a bit groggy, a little bit tired and wanting to snooze that alarm to get a few more minutes in, you are not alone. I like to think that all of us at one point have experienced that moment. But what do you do when it hits you like a ton of bricks and you know that you have work to do?

Hmmmm. That's a great question.

Do you stay where you are and allow that feeling to fester or do you take back control of your day and of your time. If this is you, rest assured that I have been there too. Here are some things that you can do the next time this happens.

  1. Be intentional about what you wnat your day to look like and what you wnat to accomplish. Waking up with a plan on your mind is a great way to help place your mindset on tasks that are going to require you to be productive to help you come out of the fog you might be in.

  2. Write down the 1 thing you must get done and start there. When you are able to organize your thoughts and your plans, it gives you more room to get some other things done as well.

  3. Change up the environment. Now if you can change your workspace, try it. For some people, it's finding a cozy coffee shop for them to work in and for other's it may be trying a new room in your home.

  4. Get rid of unnecessary devices. You may need to separate yourself from the devices that have been used to distract you earlier. That may mean that you are only using one or two for that intent and purpose that you actually need it for. That my friend is discipline. We all need and it's a fruit of the spirit as well according to Galatians 5:22-23.

  5. Use your words and praise God out loud. Just because this is listed as number 5, doesn't mean that you can't do this the entire time. I encourage you to sing a song of praise unto God while you're getting ready and do the same thing as you prepare your notes.

As an add on, begin to declare that your steps are being ordered by the Lord. Now on the spiritual side of this, I am also going to say that taking time to pray as you begin to start your day can also shift the atmosphere around you as well. Giving God everything and inviting Him into what you're feeling and how you're planning and prepping. Making room for Him to show up as only he can. There is so much power in prayer and asking the Lord to lead you that can align you to His plans and what He is doing in your life.

Sometimes these feelings are going to come up because your body may just be actually tired and that they mean a change in your schedule is needed. if you're ready to reset and make the changes you need, then sign up for our Glow Up Reset Bundle.
