Have you ever needed to catch your breath because you were running what felt like a marathon in your own life. I'm talking about different things kept popping up and you looked around wondering when the pieces would finally pause enough for you to breathe? You aren't alone. But I want to share that sometimes those series of events happen and its okay to acknowledge where you are. Not to bask in them or to allow you to become overwhelmed by the feelings that have come with it. But simply to remind yourself that you are a human being and being human means that there will be feelings. But we what we choose to do with the moment makes the difference.
A few tools to help you out while you feel like life is throwing more at you than you may think you can handle, I wnat you to pull out your sword. Yes girl, get that bible out and get empowered by scriptures that remind you that this battle is not just yours. When the instances feel like they are too much for us to hold, we have to be reminded that there is a call to surrender and in that surrendering we can take the moments we experience and lay them at the throne. I know a few scriptures that I have hold on to have been:
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Mathew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered
When we take the time even while going through to lay these things down and to bask in His word in stead of what we are dealing with, we can begin to feel a sense of relief. It may not be that the situation has changed just yet, but the weight tends to feel a bit lighter. His word brings and lifts us up higher. We don't have to feel overwhelmed about everything that has taken place. Instead we are able to position ourselves in a way that allows God to guide us in His path and align us to His timing.
I'm reminded even as I write I am reminded of Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
His word in our hearts keeps Him exalted in our lives and eyes far above whatever storm we may be experiencing. If you have been needing a reminder to keep his word with you, #1 grab your bible and make some time to spend with the Lord. #2, grab a copy of our new journal, "Speak Life To Your Best Life: Affirmations Journal." We show you over the first 7 days how to take the word and use is to affirm your life and how to reflective look at how to apply it and then we encourage you the rest of the month to find scriptures that speak life to your current season.
