He Set Me Free
I've been on a journey of rediscovering and redefining who I was called to be. Yes, I'm a woman, a mother, a sister, a friend. But, I'm more than that. I am a child of God with a purpose to amplify the voices of those who once saw themselves as voiceless. I am one who God has called to empower and uplift others on their faith walk journey. I am HIS.
I have spent a lot of time being defined as this, that and the third that I could no longer recognize myself. My identity morphed into the different roles and positions I had causing me to lose sight and focus on who I was called to be. Wrapped up in sin and the desires of this world, I didn't know how much of "Me," I was really missing. I couldn't even pinpoint which direction I was supposed to be going in. Although, I tried to make changes in my life, nothing seemed to be working. Things didn't get better. They seemed to get worse.
What I didn't know was that, this "worse" was really a set up to set me free. A way for me to see that only God could heal, deliver, restore and redeem me. He did exactly that and so much more. The healing I got to witness wasn't only in me, but in my family. Especially in my children. God used a life-altering situation to get me to see, hear and know that He was truly real. He was the ultimate source for me and my family. Though it may not have felt or seemed easy, He knew exactly what needed to be done in order for me to get to where He was taking me. He did it. I give Him all the glory.
God set me free from jobs that no longer served a purpose for me. He set me from a 10-year relationship that wasn't for me. He set me free from curses that had plagued my bloodline for generations. He set me free from old mindsets and habits that were never supposed to be apart of me.
He cleansed me and redeemed me. He revived and He blessed me with new opportunities. I wasn't perfect and yet he still chose me. God is not a respecter of persons. So what He will do for one, He will do for another. So many of His children are in a season of being pruned and processed. To be used for His glory. You are being set free.
