Speak Up

I have had the pleasure recently to attend a conference that was truly faith filled, and faith empowered through and through. It was at that conference that I knew the women in the room who had been silent would begin to open their mouths. It was in that room that chains would begin to fall off and that they would see themselves the way that God saw them.
You see it's one thing to go to a conference and come home and find that nothing has changed. It is entirely different to be able to come home and see that your mindset is no longer the same. I saw women there who had been quiet about their gifts and quiet about that they have been called to do. Not because they want to be hidden but because life circumstances have caused them to feel as though they are not as important.
I got to meet women who understood the power in their story and the power in their ask. that if they would speak up and say what they needed that they could trust that God was going to deliver it. I got to meet with women who carried an oil from a season of pressing when they had to be still and endure up until the time when they were called to be released. It was in these meetings that I got to see how amazing women from all over the world really are. Women who understood that God was calling them just like He is calling you.
They knew what impact felt like and how it could all change their lives, but first they had to be willing to open up and obey. Obedience was a highlighted word for me at the conference along with the word faith. It took faith for many of them to be obedient to do what they were called to do and to not be afraid to go and do it. When you can watch these women attest to what they do now and glorify God in it you understand that even they know this is only possible because of Him.
