Becoming: The Arithmetic Decisions

There comes a point in every woman’s journey when she realizes that growth isn’t about doing more — it’s about understanding what counts.
I’ve learned that becoming requires a kind of arithmetic we’re rarely taught.
Not the kind with perfect answers or clean equations, but the kind where God begins to add clarity, subtract fear, and reorder priorities in ways that don’t always make sense at first.
For a long time, I prayed for direction without realizing that God was answering me through awareness. Through stillness. Through the uncomfortable work of looking at where I actually was — not where I hoped to be.
That’s where Becoming was born.
The Arithmetic That We Avoid
Many of us move through life trying to add:
more faith
more discipline
more confidence
more clarity
But rarely do we stop to ask or think what needs to be subtracted:
the self-doubt we’ve normalized
the beliefs we’ve carried quietly
the expectations that no longer fit
the fear disguised as wisdom
And even more rarely do we pause to understand how God is reordering what remains.
That reordering is not delay. It’s preparation.
What do you do when the math changes?
Becoming isn’t about solving for the future. It’s about understanding the present.
There was a season when I realized that my prayers weren’t unanswered — they were being reshaped. What I thought was waiting was actually God teaching me how to steward the season I was in.
I began to see that:
awareness is obedience
reflection is movement
clarity is a form of trust
And that’s when I understood something important:
God wasn’t asking me to rush into the next chapter. He was inviting me to understand the equation that He was forming in me.
Why Does the, "You Are Becoming Workbook" exist?
You Are Becoming is a faith-based workbook and audio companion created for women who are navigating transition, rebuilding confidence, and seeking clarity in their walk with God.
It’s not focused on the past. It’s rooted in the present.
Through guided reflection, identity work, testimony, and declaration, this experience helps women gently uncover how they see themselves in this season — and how God may be reshaping that vision with intention.
This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about seeing yourself clearly.
If you’ve felt like you’re carrying questions you can’t quite name…If you’ve been praying for what’s next but sensing that God is asking you to pause…If you’re learning that growth looks quieter than you expected…
The "You Are Becoming Workbook" is now available.
Not as a solution, but as a companion.
Sometimes the breakthrough we’re asking for isn’t an answer —it’s understanding what God is already adding, subtracting, and aligning within us.
And sometimes, learning the arithmetic of the season is the beginning of your becoming.
